Back in February, Jaffa asked if she could start taking music lessons. We had mentioned it a couple of times before, but she never reacted.. so we waited. Then suddenly she wanted to learn how to play the cello, violin, guitar and piano (apparently she has a thing for strings)--but she couldn't decide which first. We talked with Uncle Reuben and the music school, and we decided to start with piano. Eben decided to tag along on the first day to see what it was all about. Fast forward two months, Eben is loving the piano, and Jaffa has moved on to guitar. The thing is, after the first couple of lessons, the teacher realized that there were two problems: his guitar was too big for her, and she's left handed so the strongs on his were upside down. Time to head to the music store.. remembering that you can find pretty much anything in this big city.. 
Wow! And.. there was a wall of Fenders upstairs too.
So, we chose a 3/4 size guitar, and our very patient salesman set about restringing.
It took awhile, so a number of rounds of rock-paper-scissors were in order.
...and ta da! Our big girl can practice at home... scary that she looks like she's 15 already!
Next, I have a feeling that we'll be buying a keyboard for Eben, though if it's up to Zeric, it will be a baby grand. Stay tuned!
