You know how I feel about animal jail.
But, we were close tot he National Zoo and I knew the kids liked it,
and how many of the poor caged creatures could we see in 2 hours anyway?
We saw a few and they didn't see all too miserable. Thankfully.
We got to go through the water sprayer too.. that was a highlight!
Would you know, really, if the prairie dog was bored?
Did feel like perhaps he could use a change of scenery.. but wasn't going to take that on myself.
I did wish that we would have seen some orangutans going across the O line (http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/ThinkTank/OLine/), and then we could have yelled, "Selamat sore, bapak, ibu ibu! Apa kabar? Kami dari Indonesia. Mau nasi goreng, atau pisang?"
