It was on the kids' list.. they love the movie, read the Disney book.. and now they know all about Notre Dame. It only took 40 minutes to wait in line to get inside, and of course it's still an amazingly spiritaul experience (even with 1000 of your closest tourist friends).
She really is very lovely.
The big news is that she turns 850 this year, and.. she got new bells!
(We weren't there for this.. it happened at Easter, but we heard all about it!)
She had been without her bells for more than two centuries, as all but one of the bells (Emmanuel was the one who stayed, they all have names) was taken down during the French revolution and melted down to make cannons and coins.
Finally, she has all 10 of her bells back, and she sounds FABULOUS!!
It was definitely a visit that required picture-taking
And why not take advantage of one of the most visited sites in Paris to impress some people, make some money and pick up hot chics?
Guess you kinda deserve it if you can do this with no padding beneath you!
Wow!!
and now Eben wants roller blades
