Lots of kids playing!

Thursday was a play day at school last week, and parents got to come and help.  The only condition was that we had to come dressed like bugs (with 2 days' notice).  At least expectations weren't too high.  I wore antennas and a red shirt.  Jaf and Ebs taped black spots to my back.  Instant ladybug!

Here are the kids all ramped up to play games:
It's like 'Where's Waldo?'  Can you find Jaffa and Eben?

We parents were excited too, until we got to play the same game 16 times.  No kidding.  I had "match the title to the book" which was a cinch, so we were done in three seconds each time.  Given that I had them for 8 minutes, I had them list everything the caterpillar had eaten in French and English then talk about their own favorite foods.  Ice cream and cake rule. .At the end of the morning with no pee-break (parents and teachers both pretty tired from too much non-stop playing), a friend of mine asked me if I had a better appreciation of repetitive factory line work. Yup!
