So happy to see A3 in DC!

Amira, Afia and Arno came to DC, and we were sooooo happy to see them again!  They had left Jakarta in December, and we had been missing them terribly.  We met up at the Newseum, which is awesome anyway, and then learned about all kinds of things.. like, we saw the Berlin wall!

Jaffa and Amira did a weather report.. it's harder than it looks!

Arno got his Abe look on.

Yes. Questionable sometimes, though, how well we're doing on that in the US..

We also saw an exhibit on 9/11 from the journalists' point of view.  Very powerful.. and sad.  But nice to have that appreciation of the people who run towards danger while everyone else is running away.

We then went outside to enjoy the sunshine, and hang in the sculpture garden.. it's lovely!

For dinner, we ventured north to Little Ethiopia. (Afia didn't have to try hard to get me on board convincing others that that's what we should absolutely have for dinner!).  As always, Etete's food was fantastic.. perhaps not the place for groups bigger than four people, however!

The next day, we met up for some monument cruising.. we saw Lincoln, WWII, an MLK.  We love this city!!

We so happy to have had a few days together, and were very sad to say good bye.. but promised to come skiing in December.. still hoping to keep that promise!
