We hadn't seen Hope (and her parents, Sean and Cheri) since she was teeny, and so it was so great to be able to spend a few days together in DC being tourists! Of COURSE we had to go to Ben's Chili Bowl. We all needed it!!
We also spent some time in the Air and Space museum, the Natural History museum, and did some good eating and walking the city together.
One of the highlights was the Georgetown Ghost Tour. It was a lot of walking, but such great stories about all that happened in that part of Washington in times past, and all of the creepy things that have happened since. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO The tour ended at the Exorcist stairs... which was a big deal to the grownups who remember the movie well (in spite of the years that have passed since seeing it!). We tried to explain it to the kids, who of course wanted to see it.. maybe in a few years!
