Snow on Bear Tooth Pass

Art and Christin helped us organize the whole trip.. and so we just followed their lead. We spent two night at Silver Gate, just northeast of the park where we played in the creek and made a pasta dinner together. We visited the General Store that was intact from a century ago, and we went to Bear Tooth Cafe for a terrific dinner, and to Bear Claw Bakery - which is the kind of bakery I would like to open one day.

Our first morning there, imagine how delighted we were when we wove up and up and up the windy roads and suddenly there was SNOW!!!

There was enough snow for a snowball fight!!

And it even got a little chilly. What a great view, with fresh air and lots of rocks to climb on.

The sad part of this last leg of the trip was saying good-bye. Art and Christin were headed home, and we were headed to Idaho for the Smith Family Rebellion. After such an amazing adventure, we're hoping to get Art and Christin to come to our part of the world for more adventuring--this time city or beach!
