The day before we left Kinshasa, Jaffa and I decided to pay a visit to the Academie des Beaux Arts.
We had driven by it so many times, but never went in to go see what was there. The campus was
interesting, with lots of statues around. We stopped in the sculpting workshop and then made our way
around the main buildings.
As we were wandering, a group of students stopped us and asked if Jaffa could be in their
commercial. They were filming it for their class, and it was going to be evaluated by a panel of peers.
Jaffa agreed, and then spent the next 30 minutes eating a chocolate bread spread--and pretending to like it!
By the time we left, she had a bellyache.. but she was super proud to have helped the group of
students and to have been in her first commercial!
