Red Cross Snake Farm

Why, you ask, does the Red Cross run a snake farm in the middle of Bangkok?
I wondered too.. and come to find out, they work on antivenoms.  Makes perfect sense.

And they have a farm where you can learn all about snakes.  Wow, they are so beautiful.. but I still don't want to snuggle one.

There was a talk, where they brought a bunch out.. starting with the cobra, of course.

Complete with cobra-grabbing expert...

...who also knew how to make them mad, so we could see their pretty hoods (good for us, maybe not for him).

And other friends who were not venomous..

And here's where it gets interesting.. so Jaffa runs down to kiss one of the snakes that was the prettiest of them all and fourteen snakes come out of nowhere and attack her leg, and now she is growing scales and hissing, and will soon her ears will fall off.  Just kidding.  My sweet beautiful daughter was stretching to see and took a tumble on the stone stairs :( Within 15 seconds, two people whisked her off to the main building and fixed her all up.  When we got there about 10 minutes later, she had been crying from the stinging of the antiseptic, but was otherwise in good shape.  Love the Red Cross for so many reasons!
