Lumpini Park at noon, Lumpini Park better in the evening

Lumpini Park was about a 10-minute walk from our hotel, and we miss parks just as much as we miss museums.  So, we went one day after lunch.. WOW it was soooooo hot!!  The swing seats were so hot that the kids couldn't sit on them.  Jaffa found a sprinkler.. that was a relief!!

 

 

We went back on Friday at 5pm, and the whole park was hoppin'!

 

We started with the paddle boats.  There was a lady selling fish food at the dock, and so we got some.. those fish were ready for us!  They just about jumped out of the water to get it.  Clearly, they were well-practiced as they were HUGE! 

 

 

There were other things hanging out in the water too.. do you see the VERY LARGE monitor lizard under the shack? He went cruising past our boat.  Aaaaaaack!!

  Back to the hoppin' part of the park.. who knew that there was after-work-mob-aerobics?? There were hundreds of people there.. it was very cool!  Sadly, Eben didn't want to join..

 Guess what?  By 5 o'clock, the swings were ready for little bottoms. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!!

And then.. we got to the other end of the park.. and there was another aerobics-mob.  Guess it's the place to be on a Friday evening.. and you can choose your camp.
