Go Indah!

One of Zeric's recent innovations USAID was the establishment of the Democracy and Governance Knowledge and Impact Clinic.  The DG KIC is meant to shed light on emerging methods to determine program impact of DG activities, to look at the cross sector opportunities that present themselves in development programs, and to provide a venue for clinical discussions with experts about potential impact evaluation methods.  The second DG-KIC featured a discussion of our office's local governance program with a special guest the Vice Bupati (deputy mayor) of Luwu Utara who has championed service delivery improvements in school teacher assignments and support in her district.  This discussion shared lessons learnt for providing better public services.  Luwu Utara District is one of the nominee for UN-Public Service Delivery (UNPSA) award this year on that topic. Indah was a participant in the US Embassy international visitors program visiting the US in 2012, and gained insight from the experiences of local governments in the US.
