When we weren't eating meals that consisted of two-thirds of the dishes on the menu at any given restaurant, we were exploring the pastry selection along the way. Not surprisingly, they were representative of the region.. lots of sesame seeds and pistachios and baklava-ish cakes, and almonds and almond paste.. just really
