Halloween!

We started decorating for Halloween WEEKS ahead of the holiday, we were so excited about it!

Though we were slightly distracted the night of our party (see the next post about Jaffa), we had a good time and enjoyed the spooky night.  It helped that our neighbor Sharon loves to decorate and had an extremely creepy front yard!

We even made skeleton challah (with cheese guts) for our party!

Eben was a desert ninja..

...and Jaffa was a spider princess (no pix of that as it lasted only an hour), then Frankenstein's wife for a number of other Halloween parties.. including the one below.

In true Jakarta style, we celebrated at least 3 times.. not including the grown-up party!

We weren't terribly creative.  This is me.. with stunning eyelashes that were a complement to my daisy dukes and bikini top, and my recyclable grocery bag (with plastic wine glass).  I was an expat mom.

and this is Zeric Marley (with some other characters from the neighborhood; of particular note is Ramon's checkered tights that made him an automatic honorary member of The Cure).
