This is our first time in Bali, and we decided to stay in Ubud (in the center of the island) rather than head to the southern party part. At least for this trip :) So, we are in the land of temples and rice paddies and yoga classes and good restaurants. It's pretty hippy dippy but that suits us fine.
We have seen lots and lots of temples and carvings and paintings.. it's a bueatiful place. And, because we mostly follow our bellies, we have found some good eats too.. like CasaLuna and Kue ("cake" - waa!! what could be better??) and Bridges and Pizza Bagus and CasaTaco.

| milkshakes at Pizza Bagus ("good pizza" but it was GREAT!) |
| Zeric had to add a little shot of run to his coconut water lime spritz at CasaLuna |
| lemon curd dessert at Bridges - yum! |
There are lots of sights to be seen.. like when you couldn't help but notice that one of the temple grounds was being put to good use.. Bintang is the local beer here.
| Two sillies at the end of a long row of Buddhas |
| "Danger: ART" |
| Ferocious temple guards |
| not-so-ferocious temple guards! |
| Roosters, chillin' |
