Annual pilgrimage to the Cape

We look forward to our time on Scusset Beach with the Breslars (and crew!) every year... we start looking forward to the next year from the moment we are driving away from Phillips Road.

This year was a blast!  It's so amazing to now have our kids be the ones playing together on the beach, building sand castles and searching for hermit crabs and playing in the waves.  It's so special to have a place where we can go to just relax (and pick on each other) and really see the passage of time--and to count our blessings.  And to go to same favorite places every year: ice cream with the bear, Joe's for seafood, xmas tree shop, Chatham, Sandwich for gourmet sandwiches and cornmeal...

Thanks to you who gave up beds, surrendered the kitchen, and put up with Zeric's sense of humor and my bossy.  Can't wait to do it all again next year!

three monkeys jumping on the bed!

Your wives actually know that you are talking smack about us out there, don't think we don't know and don't think that we're not doing the same about you inside the house.. while cleaning up your big fat mess AND chasing the kids.  So there.
To think that you two used to torture each other every minute of every day
Here we come, lobster rolls!!!
Billy shared his birthday

this was awesome.  next year, we remember non-horse-hoof marshmallows for Reuben

5 year old spirit and energy (I'm talkin' BOTH of them!)

this looks very familiar..
... clearly she was being possessed by her grandfather at this moment

the "kids" spent a lot of time making sand castles ;)

We made it to the lighthouse this year!  What a long walk.. and a longer walk back.. phew.
we met a movie star on the Cape!  I missed getting her autograph tho.. nuts.. maybe she'll send it to me

mommies' heaven, on so many levels!
